Translations of the poems into blank verse, with an introduction and an index of proper names. With a 4 p. letter, 1964 July 19, Brookline, from Mary May Sandars to Walter Muir Whitehill explaining the circumstances of her husband's translation. Having been bombed out of their London home, they found a home near Bristol where Sandars, under contract with the BBC, did a fortnightly broadcast to the schools, and he worked on translating Catullus, despite physical impairment.
